About Ron:
Ron Whittington has published three fiction thrillers (Second Strike, Doppelgänged and Free Surface Effect) and two short stories (The Devil You Don’t and Seized Desires featuring businessman-turned-spy Parker Glynn. Ron also writes for the Florida Times-Union and Jacksonville Magazine, as well as other regional publications. He was the ghostwriter of two national best-selling books, and his freelance writing has appeared in several publications including Texas Business, Texas Monthly, and Beson Publications. Ron received his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and started his writing career as a reporter with CNN Radio in Atlanta. He later joined the Dallas-Fort Worth Business Journal as a reporter and researcher and then entered the public relations profession with the Dallas Chamber of Commerce as a media relations manager. Since that time, he has been a publications editor and media manager for Dallas Area Rapid Transit, served as the Olympic Information Officer for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transportation Authority during the Centennial Olympic Games, served as the spokesman for Jacksonville’s electric authority (JEA) along with Visit Jacksonville, the city’s tourism agency. Whittington also served as a field public information officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, periodically assigned to disasters throughout the U.S. He is currently an account director with Tampa-based PR-MediaNow. He and his family currently reside in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
